Therapy centres around empathy and understanding, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, valued, and heard. Through counselling or therapeutic techniques, I can help you process your feelings—whether they are from the past or present and overcome challenges. Together, we can focus on enhancing self-awareness, fostering personal growth, and building acceptance and resilience. You may also want to learn practical coping strategies.
We can explore various areas such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, life changes, caring responsibilities, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, among others. Regardless of the issue, I believe you are the expert of your story, and we will work together at your pace.
Taking the first step towards a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage, and I am here to provide the psychological support you need during this process.

This diversity allows us to explore various methods of working together, ensuring we find the best fit for your journey. Regardless of the underlying theory we use, our therapy sessions will be grounded, understanding, and realistic.
Some clients prefer to set specific goals from the outset, while others may not have a clear focus for their mental health therapy. There is no right or wrong way to begin your path toward psychological support.

£25 for a 30 minute appointment
£50 for a 50 minute appointment

Also, I offer a free introductory chat (up to 10 minutes) to discuss your psychological support needs.
Each individual session fee is payable at least 24 hours in advance to secure your appointment time.

Yes- online therapy is a convenient and effective way to get support. Remote sessions let you connect safely from home, making it easier to fit therapy into your life. Many people find it just as helpful as in person therapy, as video sessions still allow face to face interaction, including seeing facial expressions, tone of voice and body language- all which help to build the therapeutic relationship.
I can share my screen with you to show you documents and review any techniques you may have been practising - if relevant.
The same ethical guidelines are also followed, ensuring a safe and consistent experience.
Many people find online therapy offers advantages such as:
Accessibility - sessions take place from wherever you are, so no need to travel, arrange childcare, worry about mobility problems or need pet sitters for example.
Flexibility - no waiting rooms, travel time and more options with appointment slots. Just log in at your session time. Handy especially for those with limited free time.
Comfort - being in familiar surroundings can make it easier to open up and feel more at ease.
Continuity - sessions can continue if you travel for work, go on holiday or move house.
Privacy - no risk of bumping into someone you know.
Yes online therapy is confidential, just like face to face therapy. When working online I follow the same BACP ethical framework, UK data protection law (UK GDPR) and the usual standards of confidentiality as in person therapy would.
Sessions are held one to one, using secure video platforms and are not recorded.

For online video call sessions, you can use a phone, tablet, laptop or computer.
The benefits of using a laptop or computer are the larger screen. It must have a webcam and microphone to access the video call.
Phones have already got cameras and microphones built in, but using a stand can help to keep it steady.
You might choose to use headphones or earbuds on your device to help maintain privacy if you have other people nearby.
Internet connection should be stable and faster speeds can help get a smoother video.
Microsoft Teams is my usual platform, but other options can be discussed. No platform will incur any additional charges.
About Me Therapy is an online counselling and therapy service for adults aged 18 years and over. I offer counselling, short term and long term, as well as specific therapy techniques.
The terms are often interchangeable, but some key differences are:
Counselling is a talking (psychological) therapy . It mainly focuses on empathy and exploring how to understand ourselves and our life problems.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques and other practical 'doing' approaches are often referred to as psychological therapies. They are more focused and aimed at specific difficulties.
The first session is a little different as we will discuss what you are looking for support with. Then we will talk about how we will work together , including confidentiality, the counselling agreement and any questions you may have.
Yes absolutely. Many people feel some nervousness, especially if it is their first time in counselling. I will always try my best to make you feel at ease. You are welcome to let me know if you are feeling worried or if there is anything that would help you.
The number of sessions any client may need can vary. I do not set a limit, but will review with you regularly.
Weekly or fortnightly sessions can work best initially- especially if there is a specific issue you wish to focus on. However, flexibility is key- we will go with what suits you best.
What you say is confidential between me and you. There are a few exceptions to this- if someone is at risk of harm or serious crime. Full details can be found in the privacy policy.
Full payment is required via bank transfer at least 24 hours in advance of the session, in order to secure the appointment. If you cancel this appointment with less than 24hrs notice, then no refund can be requested.
There will be no charge if more than 24 hours notice of cancellation is given.
